Terms of Service

These terms govern the sale and use of GU.Email, a software product published by PT Scandium ("Scandium", "we", "us"), a company incorporated in Jakarta, Indonesia on 8 February 2006. By purchasing or using GU.Email you agree to them.

1. The product

GU.Email is a self-hosted software application that you install on your own server. It provides a control and verification layer for the Postfix, Dovecot and Rspamd email components, including the configuration and validation of DKIM, SPF and DMARC records. Scandium does not operate a mail service on your behalf and does not receive, store or transmit your email.

2. Licence

GU.Email is offered on a free plan and on paid plans. A paid purchase grants you a non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to run GU.Email for twelve (12) months from the date of delivery. The free Startup plan grants the same non-exclusive, non-transferable right for an unlimited period, at no charge. Either way, the licence is bounded by the limits published for your plan.

3. Term, renewal and expiry

Paid licences are sold for a fixed twelve-month term and do not renew automatically. We will contact you before expiry with a renewal invoice. If a paid licence expires, GU.Email continues to operate your existing configuration, but you will no longer receive software updates or priority support until the licence is renewed.

The free Startup plan does not expire and carries no renewal obligation. It receives security updates at no charge, together with one feature release per year. Scandium may change the limits or terms of the free plan for new registrations, but will not withdraw a Startup licence already issued.

4. Price and payment

All purchases are final and licence fees are non-refundable, as set out in our Refund Policy. Prices are published on our website in Indonesian Rupiah (IDR), which is the currency of sale; any US Dollar figure shown alongside is an approximate conversion for reference only. Prices are exclusive of applicable taxes unless stated otherwise. The Startup plan is free of charge and requires no payment details. Payment is collected through Xendit, a payment gateway licensed and supervised by Bank Indonesia. We accept credit and debit cards, virtual account bank transfer, QRIS and supported e-wallets. Scandium does not receive or store your full card details.

5. Delivery

GU.Email is delivered electronically. For the free Startup plan, the download link and licence key are sent on registration. For paid plans, following successful payment we send your download link, licence key and invoice to the email address given at purchase, normally within one (1) business day. It is your responsibility to provide a correct and reachable email address.

6. Support

Support is provided by email during business hours in Jakarta (GMT+7), Monday to Friday, excluding Indonesian public holidays. Target first-response times are one business day for the SMB plan. The free Startup plan is supported on a best-effort basis.

7. Your responsibilities

You are responsible for the server on which GU.Email runs, for the operating system and packages installed on it, for backups of your data and configuration, and for the lawful use of the mail service you operate. You must not use GU.Email to send unsolicited bulk email or to conduct any unlawful activity.

8. Warranty and liability

GU.Email is provided on an "as is" basis. We warrant that it will substantially perform as described in our documentation, and we will make reasonable efforts to correct defects reported during the licence term. To the maximum extent permitted by Indonesian law, Scandium's total liability arising from the software or these terms is limited to the licence fee paid in the preceding twelve months. We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, including lost profit, lost data or loss of business.

9. Termination

We may suspend or terminate a licence if these terms are materially breached, including any attempt to circumvent licensing or to use the software unlawfully. You may stop using GU.Email at any time. Licence fees already paid are non-refundable; see our Refund Policy.

10. Changes

We may update these terms. The version published on this page at the time of your purchase governs that purchase. Material changes will be announced by email to active licence holders.

11. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Indonesia. Any dispute shall be submitted to the competent court in Jakarta.
